Obviously if I am posting, I must have time off from school. Indeed!! I have officially passed nursing school and I graduate Friday night!! It is sad that you can't really tell that from the photo - no nurses hats for us! They don't allow them anymore and they don't require anything white except the jacket. No explanation for this because none was offered to us. I am so relieved and ready for a break from studying! It will only last a couple of weeks because I start classes at UW this summer - but a break is a break! From what I hear, the summer classes I have are a breeze compared to what I just finished. My husband and children can once again speak in normal volumes in our home and dare to speak to me while I am holding a book in my hands (I plan to do A LOT of recreational reading the next couple of weeks!!)

Campbell County children are going to school until June 4 due to the 5 snow days that we had. I figure that gives them about three weeks of doing nothing but driving the teacheres crazy, watching movies or playing outside. Not quite sure why they bother making up the days - grades have to be turned in on the 28th of May (or at least that is what I was told). Oi!! Gotta love the system! Otherwise, kids are great. Husband is great. Life is good. We are blessed!

I have time to post pictures - yes, we are having yet another snow day! This is one (or possibly two) too many for me! The kids are happy and in fact prayed for another day off last night. I, on the other hand, was routing for the college to stay open because they are not very adept at accommodating days off into our schedule. We had 30 minute power lectures on Friday (to make up for last Monday) and were scheduled for the 30 minutes slams again today (to make up for last Fridays overflow) so....what will they do now? I have no idea but am filled with fear and trembling at the prospect.The snow accumulation does not look to be as bad as last week. This seems to be a more traditional Gillette blizzard with moderate snow and lots of wind to blow it around. Most of the time it is snowing side ways. We should have a beautiful spring!

Ok, so we are slightly behind the times. What can I say, we're old! We have decided that this is the best way to keep people posted on our lives since we don't see anyone anymore. Maybe when we have finished school (at least Eric & I) we can be social creatures again. We miss all our family and friends tremendously but creating the time for socialization is difficult while trying to study, work and keep up with our kids. My classmates and I are on the countdown for school to be done (35 days, 28 hrs of lecture, 56 hrs of clinicals). I'll find out next week if I got an internship at the hospital or not. If not, then I'll rethink my summer plans and look forward to an awesome Wilson family vacation in Seattle!! I'm just trusting God to make my summer plans as I really have no control and don't even know what is best (internship vs work force). So....if you don't mind, some prayer for direction would be appreciated.

I told Kaeleigh we were doing this and got a "coolio" so I guess I'm on the right track. A positive response from my teenagers is always a good thing! Please keep them in your prayers. They are great kids, making great choices and we are praying that they continue to follow Jesus through their quest for indepence and autonomy. What an adventure it is to have them and I am so glad that I don't have to repeat that stage of life! We are so impressed when we see those parents who have gone through this, survived and their children are awesome adults who still like to come home and see mom and dad.

Nathanial drove himself through the snow on Thursday without any major problems but with one very good scare. He has now learned how to pull out onto a street when there are 12 foot snowbanks on either side and he can't see to check traffic. He tells me that I lecture too much but I tell him I come by it naturally and he should be so lucky! I still here my Dad's voice when I drive and so far it has kept me out of trouble so I'm not complaining. He finished his first Shakespearean experience last weekend in "Taming of the Shrew" and did awesome. It was really fun to watch him on stage again. We always knew he had a dramatic side so it is nice to see it being put to good use. He just started outdoor track running the 200 and 400. He loves to run but is not sure about outdoor. He really enjoyed his indoor season and did well for his first running season ever. We'll see how outdoor goes.

As a side note, Kaeleigh is studying for her permit now and will be obtaining that piece of freedom in June. Please continue to pray for their safety as they move through this stage of life. I look around and see how many have survived but it still scares this mom! Kaeleigh starts golf in the next week or so. She is not overly enthusiastic but it was either that or track so she went with golf. That one should be fun to watch!!

The "littles" as they are called around here are doing great. Ashdohn is still a huge American history buff and is thouroughly enjoyed this school year. He created his own Meriweather Lewis costume for History day and his spring music concert. He has also been serenading us with the theme from "Star Wars" on his sax. He was supposed to start spring soccer but that has been delayed due to the blizzard.

Meegahn has recovered from pneumonia (mostly) with only occasional coughing episodes. On exertion she coughs but otherwise she does well. Her energy seems to be back along with her oh-so-picky appetite. She is deciding what she wants to do for an activity this spring but knew for sure that she did not want to play soccer. She is thinking more along the lines of gymnastics or dance. Considering her string of health issues this winter, some down time is probably a good thing. She has taken a keen pride in keeping her room clean, which for those who have not seen her room, is a complete 180! We are thankful for the change and praying that it continues!

We (the parents) mostly study (Ang), read textbooks and write papers (Eric) most of the time we are not working. Eric is thouroughly enjoying being the safety guy. He is certified to teach MSHA and is working on his OSHA instructor certification classes as we speak. He spends a lot of time teaching and training with a little site inspection thrown in. As for me, well, all I think about besides my family is nursing school. It pretty much occupies every spare moment I have and when I'm not studying I feel guilty. Pathetic, really. I am planning to take a couple of classes through UW this summer. Since I plan on getting my BSN after my RN this will help me get some classes out of the way and the classes I'm taking will help me next year in school. Besides, my old brain is in the habit of learning so I figure it's a good idea to keep it there. My "Hero" nurses (Carmen, Betty Jo, Daunee' and Gerri) in my life definately have my respect for successfully getting through this and becoming great nurses. I can't wait to join their ranks.....someday.

I'll be adding some pictures from time to time and try to keep this updated since I am so pathetic about picking up a phone and calling. Please know that we love you and miss you and can't wait to spend time with you soon!
